Sinkhole in Kryvyi Rih poses threat of industrial disaster

A sinkhole measuring over 16 hectares and approximately 70 metres deep has formed in Kryvyi Rih. This occurred as a result of planned explosive works at the Kolachevskyi mine, which took place 16 years ago and resulted in one fatality along with damage to roads and buildings.
