Toyota to start Lexus electric SUV production in China from 2027

Toyota has announced plans to begin production of an electric SUV under the Lexus brand in China from autumn 2027. The vehicle will be manufactured at the company's new plant in Shanghai, which will have an annual capacity of around 100,000 units.
