On 1 September 2026, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will celebrate the start of the church year and the memory of St. Simeon the Stylite. The day also honours his mother, Martha, and the Assembly of the Holy Virgin in Miyasyn. This day is known in folk tradition as Semen Litoprovodets, symbolising the transition from summer to autumn.
