Russia issues more verdicts for 'treason' in six months than in all pre-war years

In the first half of 2026, Russian courts issued 273 guilty verdicts for 'treason' and espionage. This exceeds the total of 170 verdicts from the entire pre-war period. The study was conducted by 'First Department' and Parubets Analytics.
