In the first eight months of 2026, Ukraine's state budget has a shortfall of 33.1 billion hryvnias. This will necessitate spending cuts, as parliament failed to pass laws required for macro-financial assistance. The largest shortfall occurred in August, amounting to 15.6 billion hryvnias.
