Kyrylo Budanov, head of the President's Office of Ukraine, stated that he regularly communicated with Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group, until his mutiny in 2023. The contacts also included negotiations with the head of the Russian GRU, Igor Kostyukov, which began in 2022.
