Lithuania procures AI-powered airspace surveillance system

Lithuania announced a €5 million contract for an integrated drone detection system using artificial intelligence. Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas stated that the system will aggregate data from military sensors and civil agencies to enhance drone identification. A pilot program is set to launch in early 2027.
