Russia extensively uses Shahed drones against Ukraine

Russia is actively deploying Shahed-238 drones in its war against Ukraine, which was not unexpected for Ukrainian military forces. Since January 2024, Ukraine has lacked effective interception means for these drones, and new threats in the form of ersatz missiles have emerged since 2025.
