The European Commission is developing a new mechanism to reduce European companies' dependence on Chinese suppliers of critical raw materials. On September 18, Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič will discuss this initiative with leaders of major companies. A comprehensive reform of EU public procurement rules is also planned.
