Experts indicate that the current price cap mechanism hinders Ukraine's ability to fully utilise electricity imports, which could reach 2.5 GW. Volodymyr Omelchenko stated that price limits should be set according to European principles rather than manually, as this restricts imports during deficit hours. Additionally, Oleksiy Kudrytsky emphasised that unpredictable changes in price caps deter investors and slow the development of new generation.
