European Parliament supports the introduction of digital euro

The European Parliament approved a bill for the introduction of a digital euro, aimed at providing citizens with safer financial services. The digital euro will also help the European Central Bank maintain control over the payment infrastructure. Its approval is expected on January 1, 2027.
