A fifth of the Black Sea reserve burned in Kherson region

In July and August 2026, the Black Sea biosphere reserve experienced an unprecedented number of fires caused by military actions. Over eight months, 91 fire outbreaks were recorded, destroying more than 3,000 hectares of the reserve's territory.
