Poland surprised by Brussels' plans to use SAFE funds for Ukraine

Poland and some EU countries expressed surprise at the European Commission's plans to use the remaining funds from the SAFE program to create a joint project program with Ukrainian companies. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced these plans, which caught Warsaw off guard as it had previously intended to use the funds for its own defense projects.
