Former Deputy Head of the Central Election Commission Marina Stavniichuk stated that Yulia Tymoshenko could have become the President of Ukraine if her political alliance with Viktor Yushchenko had been maintained. Stavniichuk noted that Tymoshenko wanted to lead the country immediately after becoming Prime Minister.
