Putin sets new deadline for capturing Donetsk by 2026

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a new deadline for the capture of Donetsk Oblast, set for December 31, 2026. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia has failed to meet 15 previous deadlines for seizing this region since 2022.
