Over 16,000 road accidents with casualties reported in Ukraine this year

Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has recorded 16,040 road accidents resulting in 1,741 deaths and 20,258 injuries. More than 42% of these accidents were caused by speeding, according to the Department of Patrol Police.
