Border guard Oleg Shabalin killed during defense of Donetsk region

On September 22, 2023, border guard Oleg Shabalin was killed during the defense of the Donetsk region. He served in the State Border Guard Service since 2002 and had combat experience from the ATO/OOS. In battle, his unit destroyed two enemy tanks and three armored vehicles, but Oleg sustained fatal injuries during the assault on their positions.
