Russia leaves Mediterranean Sea without warships for the first time in a decade

For the first time in ten years, Russia has no military presence in the Mediterranean Sea. The last Russian ships departed the region on June 30, with the fleet now concentrated in the Baltic Sea and the Atlantic. According to NATO, the ratio of NATO ships to Russian vessels is three to one.
