StarkWare has reduced the cost estimate of a quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction by 79% over the week. In a competition organized by StarkWare, Yukon Research, and Eigen Labs, participants lowered the preparation cost of such a transaction from $320 to $67. However, QSB remains an experimental mechanism, and a full transition to post-quantum protection has not yet occurred.
