As of September 1, 2026, test strips for measuring blood glucose levels have become available for patients with type II diabetes requiring insulin therapy. They can be obtained for free or with a partial co-payment at pharmacies participating in the 'Affordable Medicines' programme.

As of September 1, 2026, test strips for measuring blood glucose levels are available for patients with type II diabetes who require insulin therapy. They can be obtained for free or with a partial co-payment at participating pharmacies under the 'Affordable Medicines' program. This decision results from the collaboration between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Health Service of Ukraine.
