In August 2026, the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine suffered significant losses inflicted by occupying forces attempting to breach Ukrainian defensive positions. Coordinated actions by Ukrainian units resulted in the enemy losing 3,897 soldiers killed and 1,371 wounded.
