In August 2026, a man was detained in Transcarpathia for organising illegal border crossings to Romania for 3200 euros. Later, on September 2, it was reported that a resident of Lutsk was also preparing to facilitate the crossing of a man over the Tysa River into Romania.

A 68-year-old resident of Lutsk was detained for attempting to organize an illegal border crossing from Ukraine to Romania. He received €3200 for his services, provided instructions and equipment for the crossing, but was arrested while receiving the second part of the payment.
