The BepiColombo mission, a joint project of ESA and JAXA, has entered the final phase of its arrival at Mercury after an eight-year journey. On September 3, the spacecraft detached its engine module and will continue its journey to the planet using its own engines, with two scientific probes set to begin observations in April.
