Storyline
In Poltava, at the Botanical Garden of V. G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University, the first monument to William Shakespeare in Ukraine was unveiled. The monument is accompanied by a sundial in the Shakespeare Garden.
From the beginning to today
Today, a monument to the English playwright William Shakespeare was unveiled in the Botanical Garden of the Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V. G. Korolenko. A sundial was also installed. The monument is the first of its kind in Ukraine but has sparked active discussions and criticism on social media.
