On September 2, 2026, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed a Russian MiG-29 aircraft and a Ka-27 helicopter. This information was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which also noted that ammunition depots in the occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast and in Bryansk Oblast, Russia, were hit.

On September 1 and 2, 2026, Ukrainian forces struck Russian military targets, destroying a MiG-29 fighter jet and a Ka-27 helicopter. They also hit ammunition depots in Volodymyrivka and Ocheretyne in Donetsk Oblast, as well as a concentration area for equipment in Bryansk Oblast, Russia.
