A criminal case was initiated on August 19, 2026, when the National Police opened an investigation into threats against Oboz.ua journalists. On August 20, the organisation Reporters Without Borders urged Ukrainian police to investigate the online harassment of journalist Olena Mudra, highlighting a new case of persecution.
