On September 4, 2026, Ukrainian drones targeted the infrastructure of the Sochi airfield. The attack resulted in the destruction of two helicopters, Ka-52 and Mi-28, and damage to Mi-8. Additionally, sources reported damage to fuel tanks at a nearby oil depot.
