From the beginning to today
On August 24, 2026, Ukraine celebrated 35 years of independence, declared in 1991. The country has faced numerous challenges, including aggression from Russia, while continuing to pursue reforms for EU membership. Despite these difficulties, Ukraine has strengthened its democratic identity and enhanced cooperation with European partners.
