In August 2026, the Ukrainian government allocated 4.9 billion hryvnias from the European Investment Bank for community recovery, which includes the reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities in Mykolaiv. The project aims to modernise critical infrastructure, including the refurbishment of some old structures.
