Hasidic pilgrims from Israel stop in Mezhybozh to pray at the grave of Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism. They are traveling to Uman to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, which will be observed from September 11 to 13.
