EU ambassadors have failed to reach an agreement on extending sanctions against nearly 3,000 individuals and entities linked to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine. The current restrictions, including sanctions on Vladimir Putin, are set to expire on September 22 unless all 27 member states approve their renewal. Negotiations are scheduled to continue just hours before the deadline.
