Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has abandoned the idea of holding presidential elections in autumn 2026. This decision was made after Valerii Zaluzhny and Kyrylo Budanov refused to refrain from running. Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov claims he proposed elections in June, but the president changed his mind due to potential competition.
