Storyline
In 2026, 475 children of Ukrainian defenders enrolled in the Ministry of Internal Affairs' lyceums. The academic year began in five lyceums specialising in security and national-patriotic education.
From the beginning to today
This year, 475 children have become students at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Their parents are defenders currently serving on the front lines or have been injured, disabled, captured, missing, or killed.
On September 1, 2026, Ukraine's Interior Minister Ivan Vihivskyi and other officials congratulated students on the start of the new academic year. Celebratory events took place in five security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Ivano-Frankivsk. This year, 475 children from the families of defenders joined the lyceums.
