An explosive drone was discovered at Leipzig Airport in Germany near a Ukrainian cargo plane in early August. US intelligence believes the device shows characteristics typical of equipment used by the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU). The drone did not detonate due to a disabled triggering mechanism.
