In the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, over 10 hectares of forest were burned due to Russian shelling. In the following weeks, the situation worsened, with drone and airstrike attacks resulting in an additional 42 hectares burned, followed by 84 hectares. As of early September, the total forest losses have significantly increased.
