A 66-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk is suspected of spreading symbols of the communist totalitarian regime. The man published materials in a banned social network, including images of the hammer and sickle and Soviet flags. He faces up to 10 years in prison for his actions.
Police in Ivano-Frankivsk identified two teenagers who vandalized the facade of the regional philharmonic. The vandals were an 18-year-old art school student and his 17-year-old friend. Both were taken to the police and held administratively accountable for petty hooliganism.
