As of September 9, over 16,000 pilgrims have arrived in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Enhanced security measures are in place, including baggage checks and the presence of rescue services.
The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius, visited Cherkasy, where he prayed for fallen defenders. The visit began at the Alley of Heroes, where he held a memorial service with the families of the deceased and clergy. The Metropolitan also addressed the families of the soldiers with words of support.
