The BookForum has started in Lviv and will run until September 13. More than 90 publishers from Ukraine are participating, including those affected by Russian shelling.

The 'GEN OF UKRAINE' contest has been launched in Lviv region in memory of linguist Iryna Farion. The contest is free and open to students from Ukraine and Ukrainian schools abroad. Submissions are accepted until September 30 in three categories: essay, video, and poster.
On September 1, 2026, a memorial plaque was unveiled and a street and park were opened in Lviv in honor of Ukrainian physicist Igor Yukhnovsky, who would have turned 101. The street was named after the academic, and the renovated public space is intended for science promotion activities.
