Explosions were heard in Cherkasy region during air alerts on September 8-10. Air defense forces destroyed three Russian drones, with no injuries reported.
On September 7, the 'Wings of Dignity' monument was ceremoniously unveiled in Cherkasy, dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine. The monument, featuring four soaring falcons, symbolizes the memory of those who gave their lives for the country's independence. The blessing was conducted by Metropolitan Epiphanius.
The Cherkasy City Council approved the transfer of trucks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Secretary of the City Council Yuriy Trenkin stated that this equipment will assist military personnel in carrying out combat tasks. A total of three trucks were provided for three military units.
In Cherkasy, a memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the "Artan" special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate was opened in Bogdan Khmelnytsky Park. The ceremony was attended by local officials, veterans, and relatives of the fallen servicemen.
