Over the course of six months, more than 224,000 square meters of road surface were repaired in Bukovyna. Additionally, road signs, markings, pedestrian crossings were updated, and vegetation along the roads was cleared.
Four school buses were delivered to communities in Chernivtsi region, while three city buses were received by Chernivtsi. The transport was purchased with state budget funds and international assistance.
In Chernivtsi, the road repair on Kishiniivska Street is being completed. In addition to the road, the sidewalk near the cemetery and the morgue entrance has also been renovated.
Chernivtsi city council members approved funding for the development of project documentation to renovate the running tracks at Bukovyna Stadium. The cost of the main repair work is yet to be determined, but the renovation is necessary due to the worn-out surface that has caused injuries to athletes.
Starting from 1 September, Chernivtsi will reinstate travel benefits for pupils and students. Pupils will travel for free on trolleybuses, while students will pay 8 hryvnias for trolleybus rides and 20 hryvnias for bus rides.
