On September 8, a forester discovered remnants of enemy ammunition while inspecting a forest in the Rivne region. Explosive experts and SBU officers arrived at the scene to collect the remains. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated.

Born on September 22, 1982, Holenko studied in Rivne and worked as a dental technician before being mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in January 2025.
On September 2, 2026, the Rivne region was hit by an airstrike from Russia, resulting in three people sustaining minor injuries. A private residential house and an outbuilding were damaged. Emergency services are on site, and authorities are addressing temporary housing for the affected family.
