On September 6, eight fires broke out in the Cherkasy region, affecting dry vegetation and landfills. The main cause of the fires was found to be negligence during smoking.
On September 1, 25 fires were registered in the Cherkasy region, 19 of which occurred in ecosystems. The largest fire took place in the village of Pohreby in the Zolotonis'kyi district, where 2 hectares of dry vegetation were engulfed. A total of over 5 hectares of dry grass were destroyed by the flames.
