Cherkasy authorities have implemented one-way traffic on Rozkopna Street due to the reconstruction of Zamkovyi Uzviz. The traffic is organized from Volodymyr Velykyi Street to Starosobornyi Uzviz. Drivers are advised to consider these changes when planning their routes.
The Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service announced a tender for the repair of the road from Cherkasy to Chyhyryn. The project involves the restoration of four sections totaling approximately 61 km, with an expected cost of 146 million UAH.
In the first eight months of 2026, owners of luxury cars paid 4.8 million UAH in transport tax to local budgets in Cherkasy. Of this amount, 2.3 million UAH was paid by legal entities, while over 2.5 million UAH was paid by individuals.
Starting from September 2, the traffic scheme on Zamkovyi Uzviz in Cherkasy will change due to reconstruction. Traffic will be allowed only downhill, while drivers needing to go uphill will have to use Ostrizhnyi Uzviz.
Uman will implement special entry and movement restrictions from 4 to 17 September 2026 due to Rosh Hashanah and the arrival of Hasidic pilgrims. The measures will include a ban on vehicle entry from certain directions and increased control at the main city entrances.
Traffic will be temporarily closed on several streets in Cherkasy from September 18 to 20 due to a running event. Restrictions will affect Lazareva Street, Shevchenko Boulevard, and other central areas.
