Vinnytsia Technical Lyceum has been recognized as the best school in Vinnytsia region based on the results of the 2026 national multi-subject test, achieving an average score of 165.48. Seven schools from Vinnytsia made it to the top 200 in the overall ranking of 6,384 educational institutions in Ukraine.
Kostiantyn Tormashev, an English teacher from Vinnytsia, won first place in the International Teaching Excellence Award 'Education Award Europe'. He also secured first place in the national competition 'Teaching Excellence'.
Starting from September 1, Vinnytsia schools have implemented a new stage of the school meal reform, providing free hot lunches for students in grades 1-11. Over 42,000 children in the Vinnytsia community are receiving meals, with a total funding requirement of 300 million UAH.
On September 1, the school year in Vinnytsia began with an air raid alert that interrupted festive ceremonies at schools. After the alert was lifted, the events continued, and students at Lyceum No. 20 and Lyceum No. 27 honored fallen defenders with a moment of silence. This year, 3,800 children started first grade in the community.
