The education portal Education.ua has published a ranking of general educational institutions in Zakarpattia based on the results of the national multi-subject test in 2026. The top position was taken by Khust Multi-Profile Lyceum No. 1, followed by Mukachevo Lyceum and Berehove Lyceum.
In Velyki Luchky and Ruski Komarivtsi, inadequate sanitary conditions were found, including outdoor toilets. This was reported by the representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Transcarpathia. School administrations confirmed the existence of the problem.
On August 30, KARPATY International School was inaugurated in Perechyn, Zakarpattia, serving nearly 900 students. The school features modern educational programs, including technological spaces for artificial intelligence studies and an observatory.
The new school year started in Uzhhorod on 1 September, with over 17,000 children enrolled. A total of 16,373 students attend municipal schools, while 998 are in private institutions.
