On September 8, 2026, a girl weighing 5780 grams and measuring 60 cm was born at the Rivne Regional Perinatal Center. Named Victoria, she is the fifth child in her family. This is the third baby weighing over 5 kg born this year.
A baby weighing 990 grams, born on July 10 to a family from Zhytomyr region, was discharged from Rivne maternity hospital after 56 days under medical supervision. The boy, named Matviy, spent 26 days in the neonatal intensive care unit.
On August 25, Kateryna Hromachenko from Rivne celebrated her 100th birthday. Originally from Odesa, she lived in Germany for some time before moving to Rivne, where she worked at the city's sanitary and epidemiological station.
