Update on electricity disconnection rules for debts

The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities has revised the rules for electricity disconnection due to debts, enhancing protection for residential consumers. From now on, consumers will not have to pay for disconnection and reconnection if their debt is less than half of the subsistence minimum. The changes will take effect on 1 October 2026.
