Ukraine plans to buy several thousand IRIS-T guided missiles from Germany as part of a defense component of a €90 billion EU loan. German Defense Minister Pistorius noted that the IRIS-T system is successfully used in Ukraine. The 'City Dome' project has also been announced to protect Ukrainian cities.
