On 23 August 2026, drones were detected flying over the Plesetsk cosmodrome in Russia's Arkhangelsk Oblast, marking the first reported incursion of Ukrainian drones into the region. Russian officials claimed that a Soyuz-2.1b rocket was successfully launched from the cosmodrome on 24 August.
