The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense significantly exaggerates its battlefield successes, attempting to create a false narrative of a successful offensive. According to their estimates, Russian forces have captured only 147.7 square kilometers, while the Kremlin claims 5300 square kilometers.
